Tatapack：Sustainable Cosmetic Packaging Development and Manufacturing

Founded in 2017, Tatapack is a private, owned manufacturing supplier for sustainable cosmetic packaging. As an ODM supplier for the beauty industry, we cover categories including deodorant stick containers, cream jars, paper tubes, all plastic lotion pumps, and all plastic foam pumps.

However, during our use of this irreplaceable plastic, we realized that the single-use of this material has been a major challenge for global environmental protection. The stable chemical property of plastics makes it nearly impossible to degrade within a few years, causing significant damage to the ecosystem.

According to a study by Denkstatt (July 2011), if packaging plastic were replaced with other materials, greenhouse gas emissions would increase by a multiple of 2.7. It’s not the plastic itself that’s the problem, it’s what we do with it.

To address this issue, we maintain close cooperation with leading plastic material suppliers that have been certified by GRS (Global Recycling Standard) and EuCertPlast, as well as compostable and biodegradable material suppliers that have been certified by FSC, CTP, and WMU. We have also anticipated the trend towards eco-designed packaging or packaging with recycled plastic and biodegradable molded fibers. Many major players in the cosmetic industry have announced plans to use recycled or bio-sourced materials within the next few years.
